Sometimes a story . . .

. . . has a song associated with it in my head. I've been listening to "Sleeping Sun" by Nightwish while working on Flight of the Lark.

I'm going to have to do some research to get the preceding weather conditions correct. I have a rough idea how things were, but I want to get this right.

  1. That is an excellent song from a great Finnish band. Give their song Nemo a listen too. I think it has a feeling to it that seems to accord with what I am getting from the story so far.

  2. Nate - Have you ever read The Perfect Storm? It seems that this Lark story could be done in a similar fashion. Lots of true facts and building excitement and things that are still unknown. Lu

  3. I haven't read that book, but I intend to one day. This is kind of like that though. The Lark didn't exist, but the storm was real. The locations are real. And some of the events later described will be real. I have to research this thing though.

  4. Read Isaac's Storm. It spends a lot of time on the weather/meteorology. I'll try to remember to bring it with me this weekend. Steph
