Pushing

Tonight I'm pushing a little bit. I have a scene I'm working on, and I'm sort of forcing it to come out. I usually don't do that, but if I'm going to get this novel done in a speedy way I'm going to have to be more productive.

I remind myself that if I don't like what comes out, I don't have to use it. That's actually important because it's more my nature to only write when it flows, and I end up using it as an excuse not to write  when the words don't come easy. I can't do that and meet deadlines. And I can't let the fear of it coming out poorly dissuade me either because, as mentioned earlier, I don't have to keep it if I don't like it.
